Game Modes
Arcade Mode
Single Race
Time Trial
Two player split-screen
Multi LAN Race – allows up to six players to race over a Local Area Network of PS2s with Network Adaptors. An additional two screens can be used to watch the live replay.

Gran Turismo Mode
A-Spec - the traditional way of racing Gran Turismo cars where the player does the driving
B-Spec – this a more relaxed way of playing GT where the auto enthusiast becomes race manager, choosing and fine tuning the car pre-race and pacing the driver during the race. This is played over two screens: the classic driver screen and a statistic led Manager Screen. For the first time the auto enthusiast non-gamer can get fully involved in GT and even enjoy GT while drinking a coffee.
License Tests – there will be over 100 license tests and mission challenges to enable entry to higher level races for bigger prize money.



Photo Mode
Photo Drive allows players to drive their favourite hard-won car around any track, then pause the replay at any time and take a picture of the car in action.
Photo Travel allows players to place vehicles in any of sixteen virtual tourist hotspots, including under the Brooklyn Bridge (New York), Shibuya (Tokyo) and the Piazza San Marco (Venice), and take stylised photos from any angle.
Players can apply a number of personal touches to any picture, including adjusting the focal length, applying filter effects and rotating the frame.
Photos are processed in Photo Lab where they can be saved to Memory Cards (PS2), saved to USB Flash Memory or printed out as actual photographs via a compatible USB printer. (The Epson picture mate is the recommended printer. As GT4 is the first PS2 game to support USB Flash Memory – a shortlist of the peripherals supported will be released. This list will include the Sony Mini Vault).

Additional New Gameplay
Driving Missions
Designed to test players’ skills, this mode sets conditions, such as time handicaps, specific opponent cars and track sections that players must beat. Challenges don’t necessarily begin from the starting grid in this mode.


High Score system
Players are now able to enter any car for any race as most specific race regulations are to be switched off. Players can maximise points scored by racing slower or disadvantaged cars against their opponents. Using faster cars gains less points but does allow players to fast track through the game.

Hyper Realism
The Human Aspect
Another touch for ultimate realism has been added as GT4 now includes the drivers, pit crews and fans that add personality to the world of auto-racing. The driver’s human movements, the recreation of the pit crew, and the movement of the spectators are all there in full 3D.



Car Physics Simulation Engine
The new physics engine provides intense feedback of the dynamics of the cars on road surfaces, giving a much more realistic depiction of every aspect of driving. The accuracy level is in many ways equivalent to sports driving in real life.

New Generation of Driver Assist Functions
In addition to anti-lock brakes, traction control systems and active stability control, GT4 also includes active steering. With all of the safety devices combined and controlled at high standards, this allows for beginners to enjoy the pleasures of driving.



New Car Modifications
The fun of modifying a favourite car increases significantly as it is integral to the B-Spec Mode. Reflecting the latest car tuning trends, Superchargers and NOS (Nitrous Oxide) kits are now available to players. The hugely increased range of tyres and rear wings are complemented by a massively increased choice of alloy wheels.

Steering Controller – GT FORCE Pro
The Logitech GT FORCE Pro is a 900 degree turn lock to lock steering controller, made from high quality materials and developed in conjunction with Polyphony Digital Inc.

GT World
Home
Players’ cars, status and memories are held here. Players can access a diary that holds their greatest in-game achievements, view and trade their cars, or organise their photos.

Car Towns
This is where players buy their cars from and can access any of the 700 cars in the GT Mode. The 80+ car manufacturers are grouped into country-specific towns. Players can shop for current and classic cars, take part in make or model specific races or buy parts to upgrade and tune their car’s engine. Additionally, there are Used Car Towns for second hand purchases and the Tuning Car Town allows players to buy ready modified vehicles from some of the world’s top tuning outfits, including RUF and Spoon.

Licence Centre
Players build up their skills by passing increasingly tough licence tests, allowing access to more race competitions and Driving Missions.

Race Tracks
Players can access all of the race tracks in the GT World by choosing the type of environment they want to race in. The environment categories are: City Circuits, World Circuits, Original Circuits, Dirt and Snow Circuits and the Driving Park featuring three different test tracks.

Race Categories
Race categories offer an alternative way for players to access specific competitions. These categories include: Beginner, Professional, Extreme, Driving Missions, Rally, Endurance, Time Trial and Power & Speed.

Theatres
Replay Theatre allows you to view and manage the many different kinds of replay available. Jukebox allows players to listen to the music tracks, as well as create playlists for racing and slideshows.

GT Auto
This is where players maintain their cars’ performance and appearance: changing the oil, customising wheels, buying aero parts and even watch the pit crew clean their cars!

All together these elements add up to make GT4 the largest game ever made. At 9.7GB it is as big as all the previous GT games added together and represents years of entertainment for the gamer or car-lover. It would take over 120 days of playing 24 hours non-stop just to sample each car on each track for 5 minutes.

Azz la gente per natale e' piu' buona e' vorrebbe gt4 sotto l'albero hehehehe, ma ho visto una copertina al centro commerciale marcata gt4?

Ho capito a cosa ti riferisci,c'č anche al mio centro commerciale...praticamente l'offerta (da me era a marzo x luglio)cioč paghi il gioco in anticipo(come prenotazione)e portando 2 videogiochi usati lo paghi 19,90 Non voglio pensare se l'avessi fatto che rabbia. . .prenotato x luglio e usciva dopo 8 mesi

A proposito chissa forse nel 4 funzionera', devo provare se collegando dei joy usb per pc, nella ps2 funzionano.

con alcuni funziona, ma solo il dual shoc2 quello nero ha tutti i tasti analogici compreso x e quadrato
